Rachel Murphy has expressed concern about what happened to his 5-pound dog Toto last weekend. Rachel claimed that the dog was bloodied and distressed after a groomer had taped Toto r’s lips shut.
Rachel said, "My pup was clearly in distress. What I first thought was tape turned out not to be a muzzle. Toto r’s paws appeared to be red and inflicted with injuries. The toenails had been cut too near to the paw which probably triggered his biting response."
Wow! My Dog is a mobile pet salon that employed the groomer who was responsible for these actions.
Rachel immediately took Toto to the veterinarian for urgent medical attention. Having joined numerous other accusers of animal abuse, Rachel accused San Jose WOW. San Jose’s office launched an investigation against the company due to possible animal cruelty.
Rachel explained the injuries that he saw, saying, "I observed wounds around the neck and genital region." The cuts were severe enough to cause bleeding."
Marianna De las Vegas, a customer of Wow! My Dog, posted a review on Yelp, detailing how his pets were returned to him injured or unwell. One customer posted a Snapchat clip of a dog who appeared to be in distress, alleging that the groomer forced a napkin check here down its ear.
Bad Review
Wow! My Dog, in addition to the bad Yelp reviews and the fact that he was trusted to take care of their pets, wants his customers to know what the groomer said. Rachel shared, "Juliann informed me that taping the mouth shut is a normal and acceptable method, claiming it is preferable to using a muzzle, which he believes can be harmful to dogs. He also said he personally used this method on his dog."
Gate News contacted Wow! My Dog, who answered the phone and handed it to a woman claiming that they were investigating allegations. However, when questioned about Wow! My Dog, she quickly asserted that it was a separate entity before abruptly ending the call.
